Meet Kewin: Supporting a Future IT Professional | LYNAYC
It represents an opportunity to build a better future for himself and his family.
Kewin is pursuing a
B.Tech in Information Technology at Sri Ramanujar Engineering College
in Chennai.
Reaching this stage of his education, however, has required determination,
family sacrifice, and support from people who believed that financial
hardship should not stand between a student and his future.
A Family Working Hard to Make Ends Meet
Kewin comes from a family of four. He lives with his father, mother,
and younger sister.
His father works as an auto-rickshaw driver and provides
the family’s primary source of income.
With approximately ₹18,000–₹20,000 in monthly family income,
the family must manage housing, food, utilities, transportation, existing
debt, and educational expenses.
They also carry an outstanding vehicle loan of approximately
₹300,000.
For a family already carefully balancing its everyday expenses, the cost
of higher education creates a significant additional financial burden.
Determined to Continue His Education
Despite these challenges, Kewin has remained committed to his studies.
His college’s documented fee structure lists an annual cost of approximately
₹40,000, covering tuition, books, and placement and training
expenses. Additional educational expenses can arise during the academic year.
For Kewin, receiving educational assistance means being able to concentrate
more fully on his studies rather than constantly worrying about whether
financial circumstances will interrupt his education.
Education is expensive. The fees, books, and living expenses are too
much to manage on our own.
Support That Began Before College
Kewin’s connection with educational support did not begin only when he
entered engineering college.
In an earlier handwritten letter, Kewin expressed his gratitude for the
assistance he received while completing his school education and preparing
to enter Class 12.
He thanked those supporting his studies and shared that his entire family
was grateful for the help they had received.
“Thank you for everything that you are doing for my studies.
Myself and my family members are praying for all of you.”
Today, seeing Kewin continue from school into higher education shows why
sustained educational support can be so meaningful.
From School Student to B.Tech Information Technology
Kewin is now studying
B.Tech Information Technology at
Sri Ramanujar Engineering College.
His goal is to gain the education and professional qualifications necessary
to secure a good career and create a more stable future.
What makes his journey especially meaningful is that the support is not
simply helping him through a single academic year.
It is helping him progress from one stage of his education to the next.
Each completed year brings him closer to becoming a qualified technology
professional and creating opportunities that could transform his future.
Giving Back to His Community
Kewin’s story is also about character and service.
Alongside his studies, he has been actively involved in his church community.
He previously served as an altar server for eight years
and later became a member of his church youth group.
His involvement reflects something important to us at
Love Your Neighbours As Yourself Charity (LYNAYC):
education is not only about building successful careers.
It is also about helping young people grow into individuals who can
contribute positively to their families and communities.
Keeping a Dream Within Reach
Kewin’s family is doing everything it can to support his education.
But sometimes hard work alone cannot overcome the financial cost of
higher education.
That is where compassionate support can make a meaningful difference.
Educational sponsorship gives Kewin the opportunity to continue studying
while easing some of the financial pressure carried by his family.
A student’s future should be shaped by determination and opportunity —
not limited by circumstances beyond their control.
