The idea begins — a small group of friends starts sending support to India and SriLanka.
Mark 12:31
Small Acts of Love. Lasting Change.
HOW IT STARTED
Our Founding Story
What started quietly grew into something significant. When the COVID-19 pandemic arrived and floods devastated Chennai, the group responded with emergency aid — groceries, oxygen concentrators, and financial support for families in desperate need.
“We did not set out to build an organization. We simply could not look away.”
Two more members later joined, and the group committed to consistent monthly support. Over the years, they assisted college students, funded a rural school bus, provided educational materials, and supported urgent medical needs — all as volunteers, with no salaries taken from donations.
From 2020 to November 2025, CAD 22,400 plus ₹81,252 INR was contributed. As requests for support increased, the group recognized the need to formalize what they had been doing — and Love Your Neighbours was established.
Our Journey
A six-member team forms, committing to consistent monthly giving.
Education, medical, food, and emergency assistance grows. CAD 22,400+ and ₹81,252 INR contributed.
Love Your Neighbours As Yourself Charity (LYNAYC) begins its next chapter as a formally established charity initiative.
